European Equine Services Where horses come first...

Testimonials

PoniesI can unequivocally recommend European Equine Services to provide outstanding, personalized care for your horse.

We met Vincent Eddahri in May of 2006 when my daughter needed a place near Charlottesville to work with our 2 year-old pony hunter prospect and found EES online. Vincent impressed us with his respectful and honest communication, his personalized approach to meeting our needs and the attention to detail and organization evident everywhere at his facility. Most importantly, we liked his manner with the horses: calm, clear and caring.

My daughter worked with Finny almost every day through the following summer; I was often with her so we both came to know Vincent well. He is passionate about his mission of providing quality care, taking pride in every aspect of his work. His affection and concern for the horses is sincere and personal. He is very at ease with them and they respond in kind. Aware and conscientious as the most discriminating owner, Vincent appreciates and accommodates subtle needs and preferences as a matter of course. When we retired our cherished show pony, “Bluegrass” (Friday), in 2008, we felt fortunate to be able to bring him to this wonderful home where we knew he would continue to be safe and pampered. Both of our ponies live at EES now; we enjoy visiting often thanks to Vincent’s welcoming hospitality, the beautiful landscape, and the joy of seeing our ponies so happy and healthy.

Over the past five years I’ve had abundant opportunities to observe Vincent’s work with all kinds of horses and situations including broodmares and foaling, rehabilitation, sales preparation and presentation, horses in training, babies, seniors (including end of life decisions and euthanasia), the management of the fields and social groups, and his interactions with staff, clients, vets, farriers, and suppliers. He is knowledgeable and confident in all areas and eager to keep learning. His relationships are open and positive, his professionalism and integrity are stellar and his standards have stayed consistently high. I am happy to endorse EES and Vincent’s services to any horse owner without reservation.

Sarah WillemanVincent took exceptional care of my horses Hurricane and Grappa. They were always in great condition, and I could see how happy they were at Vincent's beautiful farm. He groomed and checked over them thoroughly every day, and if anything needed attention, he handled it immediately. It's apparent in every detail of his work that Vincent truly cares about the horses. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about horse care, but also he loves the horses as individuals and really gets to know their personalities--that's one of the real benefits of keeping horses with someone like Vincent, rather than at a larger, less personal facility. Vincent knows all the horses so well that he can tell immediately how they're doing on a given day. He wants to make sure they're not only healthy but also enjoying their lives. Hurricane spent a few months as the babysitter for the yearling colts, and Vincent said he seemed to be having fun hanging out with them. Since I couldn't make it there to visit very often, Vincent sent me photos and gave me updates about how my boys were doing. I missed them, of course, but I knew they were happy and healthy in Vincent's care. It gave me peace of mind to know my horses were in such good hands.

What a wonderful experience! Vincent Eddahri has a truly unique way with horses. Not only did he rehabilitate a significant injury, he sent my horse home with a quieter mind and better attitude!"

Last summer I purchased an eventing prospect named "Knock Too" only to find out a month later that he had a significant collateral ligament injury. When the vet said, "three months strict stall rest", I had no idea how I would manage stall rest for a young , very green, horse on top of my busy schedule. After hearing horror stories from friends and associates of how stall rest had ruined their horses' minds, I was initially worried about committing the time and expenditures for veterinary treatments. I especially worried about locking my horse in a box for months on end. However, I contacted Vincent and as soon as I interviewed him knew my horse would be in expert hands. Each time I visited European Equine Services to see my horse, he was clean, relaxed, content and (something that very important to me) in an immaculate stall with thick bedding. His stall card was up to date and the entire barn left peaceful.

By the time we brought him home not only was the injury completely healed, my horse was back in condition from daily hand walking and hill work and his ground manners were better than ever!

I can't recommend European Equine Services highly enough!

"People can tell you how great they are and what they have done, but it is your horse who will tell you the truth via their body language and that is just what my horse did about Vincent Eddahri."

My horse is very defensive when meeting new people and most of the time will pin his ears back and wrinkle his nose warning you he can bite. I couldn't believe my eyes when he had his ears up and nuzzled Vincent's head the first time they met. Vincent's body language was extremely clear and inviting to my horse. I live out of state so when I came back a monthy later, my horse's demeanor was totally different. I brought him into the cross ties and he dropped his head and looked at me very pleasant with his head cocked asking to have his head stroked. In the past, he would just stand without emotion. Vincent Eddahri is a Horse Whisperer and it gives me great comfort to have the horse in Vincent's care especially since I live so far away.

We have two young horses boarded at Wolftrap while we re-locate to Virginia. Vincent is a true professional horseman and has provided great care to the horses. We are kept up to date on their status which is greatly appreciated. Its very satisfying to know your horses are receiving as good or better care than you would provide to them.

Raleigh, a beautiful 17 hand quarter horse (he is the love of my life), had to be retired in 2007 due to lameness. Luckily for me and Raleigh, I found Vincent and EES. Raleigh went to him sight unseen due to recommendations I received from other people who had their horses with EES, and also due to speaking with Vincent. Vincent told me that he does this for the love of the horses - and it is true. I recently went to see Raleigh and pleased isn't even the right word. Raleigh looks so healthily and happy. I am so grateful to have Raleigh with Vincent.

Havana is a 24 years old,'retired' polo pony who has been in Vincent's wonderful care for six month. When Havana came to EES, he was underweight and not eating as easily and well as we would wish. At the time we attribute Havana's problems to his age. But Vincent's thorough and careful management has made a world of difference. Havana has gained weight, he looks wonderful, and he is alert and active. We are very pleased with the professional, high-quality care Havana receives and the obvious dedication that Vincent and his team have.

Now we know that Havana enjoying his retirement !

We would recommend Vincent to anyone looking for personalized, exellent care for their horse.
